Overview
Kerry rejoined the firm in July 2024 as our Estate Administration Project Manager, assisting our attorneys and clients in all aspects of the estate and trust administration process. In this role, Kerry is committed to delivering high-quality legal services to clients, but also driving innovation and leveraging technology to create efficiencies for managing the tedious estate administration process across all 100 counties in NC.
Kerry is a NC State Bar Certified Senior Paralegal and business manager with 31 years of experience in the industry with practice area concentrations in business succession planning, asset protection planning, wealth management, estate planning and administration, debtor-creditor relations, real estate transactions and foreclosures, tax, employee benefits, corporate mergers & acquisitions, start-ups and general corporate business. She is also a licensed NC State Real Estate Broker.
Prior to rejoining Smith Anderson, Kerry was in a leadership role in the office of the general counsel for Banc of California (formerly known as PacWest Bank) in Durham, NC, for the past 10 years where she led and managed the team for the Venture Lending Division that supported all aspects of loan documentation, due diligence and the closing process along with managing the bank’s collateral and security filings portfolio.
Kerry is a current member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Paralegal Division, Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section. She is an active member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In her spare time, Kerry enjoys trips to the mountains with her family and two dogs, riding roller coasters as much as possible, attending live music concerts and all things crafting that let her creativity shine!
