Mike Mitchell Co-Authors Book on Domestic and International Litigation Strategies

Smith Anderson partner, Mike Mitchell, was selected as one of several distinguished lawyers to co-author the recently published book Domestic and International Litigation Strategies. The book provides practical information related to every phase of the litigation process including trial preparation, risk assessment and best practices for prosecution and defense.

Mr. Mitchell authored the chapter "The Trial Lawyer as Trial Counselor" which provides an overview of the phases in litigation and how a lawyer can serve as an effective advisor to a client during every phase of the process.

A commercial litigator, Mr. Mitchell has over 15 years of representing both public and private companies in diverse litigation matters. He has appeared in trials or hearings in over 40 counties across North Carolina, as well as in all federal districts in North Carolina. His appellate experience includes appearing before the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. His honors and recognition include selection for inclusion as a Business North Carolina Legal Elite and selection as a member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.
