Wayne Maiorano is Presenter at NC State Construction Office Annual Conference

Wayne Maiorano, a partner in Smith Anderson's Construction Practice Group, participated as a panel member and presenter at the North Carolina State Construction Office Annual Conference. The presentation, Integrated Design and Building Information Modeling, provided practical guidance concerning the benefits, risks and application of the integrated project delivery ("IPD") system. The IPD approach integrates people, systems and practices into a collaborative design, fabrication and construction process, which optimizes efficiencies and reduces time, expense and waste throughout the development and construction of a project.

The event, which attracted more than 1,000 contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, landscape architects and representatives of state agencies, was presented by the State Construction Office (SCO) of the N.C. Department of Administration.
