Warner to Speak to North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and United Nations Association
Kirk G. Warner will speak to the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys at its annual meeting in Hilton Head, SC, on Friday, June 11. He will speak on the topic of Products Liability. His presentation is entitled, “Multi-district Litigation: Managing the Massed Mess.”
Later this month, on Wednesday, June 16, Warner will be the featured speaker at the United Nations Association Meeting. He will be speaking on “Challenges and Opportunities of Rebuilding a Broken Iraq: Nation-building 501 - Throwing out the Bathists, Advising the Players, Prosecuting the Bad Guys, Revamping the System and Creating the Foundation of Freedom.”
As a partner with Smith Anderson, Warner’s practice focuses on products liability defense. Last year, he served as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate of the Coalition Forces and as Commander in the 12th JAG Detachment in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His work included providing counsel on the rules of war, approving missile targets, holding tribunals for criminal detainees, investigating oil smuggling and reviving Iraqi courts and prisons.
