Smith Anderson Welcomes Three Lawyers to the Firm Partnership
RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election of three lawyers to the Firm's partnership, effective January 1, 2012. The new partners bring experience in Securities Law, Mergers and Acquisition Law as well as Commercial Real Estate, and Employment, Labor and Human Resources. These additions to the partnership continue Smith Anderson's focus and tradition of attracting and retaining lawyers with diverse experience to serve the complex and changing needs of Firm clients. Each of those named as partner in 2012 joined the Firm upon passing the bar.
Travis Hockaday focuses his practice on representing employers in connection with all aspects of employment-related litigation and counseling. He has represented clients in state and federal courts and agencies throughout North Carolina, as well as in South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, Indiana, Utah, and New Mexico.
Brian Meacham has experience representing public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions, counseling clients with regard to general commercial and corporate law issues, and representing clients in connection with leasing, buying, and selling commercial real estate.
Amy Wallace practices in the areas of securities law, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions. Her practice includes public offerings and private placements of securities, public company securities and corporate governance matters, and corporate investigations. Ms. Wallace also represents start-up and growth companies in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
