Smith Anderson Welcomes Anne E. Croteau and Curtis C. Brewer, IV as New Partners to the Firm
RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Anne E. Croteau and Curtis C. Brewer, IV have joined the firm as partners. Ms. Croteau and Mr. Brewer were both previously partners in the Raleigh office of an international law firm.
Anne Croteau has significant experience in private equity financings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for both public and private companies, and counseling clients on corporate and related deal matters. Ms. Croteau also has experience in securities offerings (public and private), as well as joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other complex commercial transactions. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Croteau served as a judicial clerk to The Honorable Suzanne B. Conlon, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Curt Brewer’s experience includes representing investors, lenders, and companies in private equity and mezzanine debt financings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and counseling clients on corporate and related deal matters. Mr. Brewer also has experience in the formation of private equity, mezzanine debt and real estate investment funds, as well as joint ventures, strategic alliances and other complex commercial transactions. Mr. Brewer has been listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America, one of the North Carolina Super Lawyers, and a member of the “Legal Elite” by Business North Carolina Magazine.
