Smith Anderson Partner, Rosemary G. Kenyon, Honored With North Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors Three-Year Term
At its June 2005 Annual Meeting, the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) elected Smith Anderson Partner, Rose Kenyon, to serve a three-year term on its prestigious Board of Governors. The Board of Governors oversees and helps direct NCBA policy and decisions.
Concentrating in employment law and litigation, Ms. Kenyon joined Smith Anderson in 1999 where she represents diverse organizations and has extensive experience representing and advising management on a broad range of workplace matters. Prior to joining Smith Anderson, she spent thirteen years as in-house counsel for Progress Energy’s predecessor, Carolina Power & Light Company, where she held several positions including Deputy General Counsel.
A strong supporter and participant in the NCBA, Ms. Kenyon also serves on its Finance and Strategic Planning Committees. Her active Triangle-area community and civic participation includes a recent election to the Wake County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors.
Ms. Kenyon’s honors include recognition as a member of Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” and induction into the Academy of Women of the Greater Triangle YWCA.
