Smith Anderson Partner, Mike Saber, Elected to Temple Beth Or Board of Trustees
At its June 2005 Annual Congregation Meeting, Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, North Carolina elected Smith Anderson Partner, Mike Saber, to serve a three-year term on its governing Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees oversees and helps direct Temple policy and decisions.
Concentrating in corporate and securities law, Mr. Saber joined Smith Anderson in 1996 where his practice includes representing public and private growth and technology companies; closely-held businesses; and shareholders and institutions involved with such companies. His extensive experience includes venture capital transactions; mergers and acquisitions; commercial contracts; public and private offerings; strategic partnerships and collaborations; and advice to boards of directors. His practice includes representing clients in cross-border transactions, most recently in New Zealand, Australia, France and Canada.
Prior to joining Smith Anderson, Mr. Saber practiced corporate and securities law with Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
His active professional and community participation includes founding director of the National Association for Corporate Directors (Research Triangle Chapter); director of the Association for Corporate Growth (Research Triangle Chapter); and committee member of the Mid-Atlantic Council of the Union for Reform Judaism.
Mr. Saber’s honors include recognition in 2005 as a member of Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite.”
