Smith Anderson Lawyers Volunteer at NC Bar’s 4ALL Statewide Service Day

Raleigh, NC (March 12, 2010) – Smith Anderson lawyers, Miranda Miller, Don Tucker, Robin Vinson, and Emily Yeatts, participated in the 2010 4ALL Statewide Service Day sponsored by the North Carolina Bar on March 5, 2010. The purpose of the Service Day was to offer legal information at no cost to people throughout the state. Call centers were staffed by lawyers and were supported by paralegals, law students, and legal aid attorneys.

The 4ALL Statewide Service Day Call Centers were set up in Asheville, Cary, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, Raleigh and Wilmington. Lawyers at the seven sites collectively answered 8,467 calls during the 12 hour event and provided information from a wide range of practice areas including: consumer transactions, criminal law, family law, real estate, contract disputes and litigation, consumer protection, banking, health care, construction, estates administration.

This total number of calls reflects a significant increase over previous years.
