Smith Anderson Lawyers Share Their Knowledge and Experience at Association for Corporate Growth Seminar
Smith Anderson lawyers Geoff Krouse, Merrill Mason and Margaret Rosenfeld participated in a recent seminar hosted by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). The seminar sought to educate attendees, mostly Triangle-area business owners, about important current business and legal issues in mergers, acquisitions and sales of businesses.
Mr. Mason participated on the panel Valuing a Privately Held Business for Sale. Ms. Rosenfeld moderated the Current Legal Issues in M&A panel which included Mr. Krouse as a participant.

Mr. Krouse, Mr. Mason and Ms. Rosenfeld all practice Corporate law. Before joining Smith Anderson, Mr. Krouse practiced for over seven years in New York City in the areas of corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions. Working in diverse industries, he represents both issuers and underwriters in public offerings and private placements of securities, represents buyers and sellers in public and private mergers and acquisitions, and assists companies with other corporate transactions and compliance matters.
Mr. Mason has extensive experience partnering with technology and life sciences companies, and represents companies at all stages of development with particular emphasis on emerging and entrepreneurial enterprises.
Ms. Rosenfeld has corporate and securities law experience both within the United States and internationally. Her practice includes public company reporting, corporate governance, public offerings and private placements of securities, corporate investigations (internal and government), mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property protection and licensing as well as general corporation representation.
