Smith Anderson Hosts a Second Networking Event to Honor Women's Athletics and Triangle-Area Professionals
On Sunday, January 20, 2008, to honor Triangle-area women's collegiate athletics, Smith Anderson hosted a networking event that brought together female professionals from around the Triangle-area to enjoy each other's company, a full brunch and the Duke v. NC State women's basketball game.
Held at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Duke University's campus, attendees comprised professionals across all industries and professions who braved less than ideal weather conditions to attend. In addition to the opportunity to develop existing relationships and initiate new ones, attendees enjoyed a well-played women's basketball game between two area rivals, culminating with Duke University honoring Lindsey Harding as only the second women's basketball player at Duke to have her jersey retired.
"The event exceeded our expectations and created a much-needed opportunity for women professionals in the area to meet and develop professional relationships" said Margaret Rosenfeld
, a partner at Smith Anderson and event organizer. "Given the positive feedback from attendees, we look forward to participating in future networking events" she added.
