Smith Anderson Colleagues Appointed to Carolina Law Alumni Positions

Chapel Hill, NC (October 14, 2011) - On Thursday, October 13, 2011, Smith Anderson lawyer Dana Simpson was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Carolina Law Alumni Association and Smith Anderson Director of Professional Development Kelly Smith was appointed Chair of the Student Affairs Committee of the association. Mr. Simpson’s and Ms. Smith’s respective terms begin in January 2012.

The Carolina Law Alumni Association is comprised of Carolina Law's 9,300+ graduates and seeks to assist the law school and its students through alumni outreach and fundraising. The association sponsors an annual Law Alumni Weekend as well as other events throughout the country. Many endowed scholarships, awarded on the basis of superior academic performance and demonstrated need, have also been established through the generous resources of the Carolina Law Alumni Association.
