Smith Anderson Attorney Nikole Mariencheck Appointed To Chair the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division
At its June 2005 Annual Convention, the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) elected Smith Anderson attorney, Nikole Mariencheck, to chair its Young Lawyers Division. The Young Lawyers Division’s broad-ranging responsibilities include promoting professional advancement for lawyers in the developing stages of their careers and representing their interests within the NCBA at large.
Concentrating in bankruptcy and commercial transactions, Ms. Mariencheck joined Smith Anderson in 1999 where she advises diverse clients on a wide range of commercial matters. Prior to joining the Firm, she clerked for the Honorable A. Thomas Small, Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of North Carolina. Ms. Mariencheck shares her expertise both as a frequent invited speaker and author of articles on bankruptcy issues.
A strong and active supporter of bar association activities, her participation includes Secretary, Young Lawyers Division, NCBA; President, Young Lawyers Division, Wake County Bar Association; and District 9 representative to the Young Lawyers Division, American Bar Association.
Her active Triangle-area community and civic participation includes the Triangle Family Services’ legal committee and the Computer Training Partnership.
