Smith Anderson Admits Four New Partners
Smith Anderson, the largest law firm headquartered in the Research Triangle region, announced today it will admit attorneys Josh Diver, Alex Horn, Isaac Linnartz and Justin Truesdale to the firm’s Partnership, effective January 1, 2018.
Josh Diver focuses his practice on representing public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, asset purchases and dispositions, joint ventures and stock offerings. He works with businesses both large and small, from start-up and growth companies to large public companies, and in a variety of industries, including life sciences, technology, financial services and manufacturing. In addition to his transactional work, Josh is an experienced advisor to public companies and investors concerning securities laws and corporate governance matters. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, Josh practiced in the Boston office of Goodwin Procter prior to joining Smith Anderson.
Alex Horn joined Smith Anderson in 2014 and practices in the areas of mezzanine finance, debt finance and private equity. He has several years’ experience advising public and private companies, banks, finance companies, investment funds and other investors in a broad range of debt financing transactions, including syndicated and single-lender credit facilities, leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and various types of work-outs and restructurings. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, Alex was a global finance associate in the Boston office of an international law firm, Nixon Peabody, prior to joining Smith Anderson.
Isaac Linnartz practices in the areas of business litigation and employment litigation. He has experience litigating claims for breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair trade practices, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and other business-related claims. In addition, he represents employers in cases involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and claims related to non-compete agreements. Isaac earned his law degree from the Duke University School of Law and serves on Smith Anderson's Recruiting Committee.
Justin Truesdale joined Smith Anderson in 2009 and focuses his practice on corporate and securities law. He has experience advising companies ranging from private start-up and growth companies to larger public companies on various matters, including corporate and board governance matters, public company securities compliance, public and private offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. A graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Justin serves on Smith Anderson’s Diversity and Recruiting Committees and served as an elected Director to the Tenth Judicial District Bar from 2015 to 2017.
