Sharita Whitaker Offers Welcoming Remarks at the NCBA Minority Law Student and Attorney Meet and Greet
Raleigh, N.C. – On September 26, 2013, the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Latino Affairs Committee and the Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Committee sponsored a minority law student and attorney meet and greet. Sharita Whitaker, an associate at Smith Anderson, provided welcoming remarks at the reception that included approximately 60 attorneys and law school students in attendance. Sharita is Chair of the NCBA MIP “Preparing for Practice” subcommittee.
The NCBA MIP “Preparing for Practice” subcommittee organized the meet and greet event in conjunction with the Latino Affairs Committee. The meet and greet was designed to connect attorneys and minority law students in North Carolina, as well as encourage networking and mentorship.
Sharita Whitaker focuses her practice in the areas of Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Development. She assists clients with real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. In addition to mentoring law students and new lawyers through the NCBA MIP Committee, she is an active North Carolina Central University School of Law alumna.
