Sharita Whitaker Moderates Panel Discussion on What Employers Look for in an Attorney
Raleigh, N.C. – On February 8, 2014, Sharita Whitaker moderated a panel discussion that took place as part of “Adelante! Moving Forward,” a student skills building event coordinated by the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Latino Affairs Committee and Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Committee. The discussion, entitled, “The Times They Are a Changing: What Employers are Looking for in Today’s Legal Market - Meet the Well-Rounded Lawyer,” provided law students and new attorneys who are entering the workforce with insight on how having a better work-life balance can make a lawyer the ideal candidate for potential employers.

Sharita is Chair of the NCBA MIP “Preparing for Practice” subcommittee which is committed to the development and support of diverse law students and new lawyers of color. In addition, she is an active North Carolina Central University School of Law alumna and a member of the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association.
