Sandy Costa Speaks at Toastmasters International District 37 Spring Conference

Raleigh, NC (May 24, 2010) - Sandy Costa, an attorney with Smith Anderson practicing in the areas of Life Sciences and Securities and Growth Companies, spoke at Toastmaster International’s District 37 Spring Conference. The theme of the conference was “Flying High!” The event was held May 21-23 in Greensboro, NC.

The title of Mr. Costa’s talk was “Leading Others and Self-Leadership: Understanding Yourself and Others Means Being Free to Fly High.” He explains, “The ability to lead others is critical, but equally important is ‘self-leadership’ – understanding and accepting yourself to the depths of your personality and character. You can’t lead others confidently and effectively until you can understand and lead yourself.”

Mr. Costa is also author of the book, Humanity at Work: Encouraging Truth, Achievement & Spirit to Flourish in the Workplace.
