Robert Rehm Named to Steering Committee for NC LEAP
Raleigh, NC (August 5, 2011) – Robert Rehm, an attorney in Smith Anderson’s Intellectual Property practice group, has been selected to serve a two-year term on the Steering Committee of the North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program (NC LEAP). In that capacity, Rehm also will serve on NC LEAP’s Entrepreneurs Subcommittee, which makes program eligibility determinations in certain cases and periodically reviews the program’s eligibility standards, and Educational Materials Subcommittee, which prepares and reviews standardized presentation materials in support of NC LEAP’s educational and outreach activities.
NC LEAP, which is a public service program of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation, strives to be the premier provider of business-related legal services to low-wealth entrepreneurs and business owners in North Carolina. Through one-on-one representation, community education, and self-help materials, NC LEAP empowers low-wealth business owners to build businesses in North Carolina that create jobs, improve communities, and boost participants out of the poverty cycle.
