Robby Desmond Presents at Medical Records Law Seminar

Raleigh, NC (May 6, 2010) - Robby Desmond, a lawyer in Smith Anderson's Medical Malpractice Defense Group, presented at a Medical Records Law seminar in Raleigh on May 5, 2010. The seminar was attended by lawyers, health care providers, and managers of area health care practices.

Mr. Desmond delivered two presentations. The first provided an overview of the use of medical records in litigation. The second presentation discussed recent implementation of the mandatory reporting requirements that Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 established for Group Health Plans and Non-Group Health Plans.
