Rob Duggins, Kim Korando and Walter Rogers Speak at the NCACPA’s 73rd Annual Symposium
RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith Anderson partners Rob Duggins, Kim Korando and Walter Rogerseach presented at the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountant's (NCACPA) 73rd Annual Symposium which was held in Greensboro, N.C., on Nov. 12–14, 2012.
The Firm’s attorneys presented on legal issues in their respective areas of practice. Mr. Duggins discussed the role of certified public accountants (CPAs) in mergers and acquisition transactions; Mr. Rogers discussed tax and related issues in the use of buy-sell agreements; and Ms. Korando discussed recent legal and regulatory developments in employment and human resources law.
The Annual Symposium, the NCACPA’s flagship event, was attended by over 700 participants and included sessions presented by nationally recognized speakers and industry professionals. Heyward Armstrong, an associate in the Firm’s Securities and Growth Companies group and a licensed CPA, serves on the NCACPA’s Symposium Conference Committee, which develops program content for the Annual Symposium.
