Miles Wobbleton Helps Guide Agenda for North Carolina’s Judicial Branch With Appointment to Courts Commission

Smith Anderson attorney Miles Wobbleton has been appointed to the North Carolina Courts Commission, a non-standing committee of the North Carolina General Assembly, by Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives Tim Moore. 

The 28-member commission studies the operation and structure of the state’s court system and helps prepare reforms through legislation. Moore, Gov. Roy Cooper, Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger and North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul Newby make appointments to the commission.

Miles is devoted to public service, civic engagement and community service, serving on the Board of Directors of Activate Good, where he is chairman of the Development Committee, and Good Solar Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that he co-founded in 2018. 

Miles is a member of Smith Anderson’s Corporate, Private Equity and Finance practices in which he represents startups, established companies, private equity firms, banks and other financial institutions. He also has an active fund formation and fundraising practice in which he assists the firm’s private equity and venture capital clients in raising funds.
