Mike Mitchell Named Vice Chair of Board of Directors for North Carolina Business Committee for Education
Raleigh, N.C. – Mike Mitchell, a Partner at Smith Anderson in the law firm’s business litigation practice, has been named Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE). Mike will serve a two-year term, and then move into the position of Chair for an additional two-year term.
Located in the Office of the Governor, NCBCE is a nonprofit and nonpartisan initiative comprised of North Carolina’s corporate experts. NCBCE’s mission is to ensure that every student graduates from high school ready for life and work in a global society.
Mike has more than twenty years of trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. He has experience managing all phases of business litigation--from strategic advice about the choices for an appropriate forum, to the presentation of a complex case to a judge and jury. And he has extensive knowledge of North Carolina’s state and federal judiciaries.
