Merrill Mason Provides Pro-Bono Legal Guidance to HQ Raleigh and its Entrepreneur Tenants
Raleigh, N.C. – As part of his efforts to help entrepreneurs realize their business goals, Smith Anderson partner Merrill Mason joined forces with HQ Raleigh to participate in its monthly lunch-n-learn series. Starting on August 14, 2013, Merrill began holding office hours the second Wednesday of every month from 1-3:00 p.m. at HQ Raleigh. During this time, Merrill meets with emerging businesses to offer complimentary legal advice on what to consider when negotiating terms with potential investors, in-turn empowering entrepreneurs to grow their ideas into sustainable businesses.
Merrill, the head of Smith Anderson’s Start-ups practice, regularly offers pro-bono legal advice to the community of local entrepreneurs in the Research Triangle area. An article that was published on HQ Raleigh’s website reveals Merrill’s enthusiasm for supporting start-ups through every stage of forming, feeding and growing their company.
