Kirk Warner Re-appointed to Equal Access to Justice Commission

Raleigh, N.C. – Kirk Warner, a Partner at Smith Anderson and head of the Firm’s Products Liability practice group, has recently been re-appointed Commissioner to the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission.

Kirk’s appointment to the Commission was made by North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Sarah Parker.  His second three-year term as Commissioner begins in May 2013.

The Equal Access to Justice Commission aims to expand access to the civil justice system for people of low income and modest means in North Carolina. The Commission was established in November 2005 for the purposes of unmet legal needs assessment, statewide strategic planning, coordination of efforts between the legal aid organizations and other legal and non-legal organization, resource development, and expanding civil access to justice.
