Kim Korando and Sean Timmons Participate in North Carolina Medical Group Managers’ 2010 Spring Conference

Raleigh, NC (May 24, 2010) – Kim Korando, Group Leader of Smith Anderson’s Employment, Labor and Human Resources practice group, and Sean Timmons, a partner with Smith Anderson’s Health Care practice group, participated in a roundtable discussion during the North Carolina Medical Group Managers’ (NCMGM) 2010 Spring Conference which featured the theme, “Achieving Success During Challenging Times.” The conference was held May 19-21 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Ms. Korando spoke about background checks and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) issues and Mr. Timmons spoke about physician employment and practice buy-ins.

The NCMGM gives professional medical group administrator a source of information and contacts for professional growth. Since its founding in 1971, it has grown to more than 800 members representing medical practices across North Carolina. The membership includes small and large groups, medical school clinics, as well as prepaid organizations.
