Justin Truesdale Selected to Attend the North Carolina Bar Association’s Leadership Academy
Raleigh, N.C. – Justin Truesdale, an associate at Smith Anderson, is one of 17 young North Carolina lawyers to be selected to attend the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Leadership Academy as a member of its Class of 2014.
Since joining Smith Anderson in 2009, Justin has advised NYSE- and NASDAQ-listed public companies in various industries with respect to public disclosure and securities law compliance matters, NYSE and NASDAQ listing requirements, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He has also led legal due diligence teams in various complex transactions, including the $170 million acquisition of a pharmaceutical research company by a global provider of biopharmaceutical development services and commercial outsourcing services. Within the Firm, Justin serves on Smith Anderson’s Diversity and Recruiting committees.
The NCBA Leadership Academy was developed by the NCBA’s Young Lawyer Initiatives Task Force in collaboration with the Center for Creative Leadership, a well-known leadership training organization headquartered in Greensboro, N.C. The NCBA Leadership Academy strives to enhance the leadership skills of young lawyers so that they continue on the path to becoming effective leaders in their profession and in their communities.
