Jackson Moore and David Hayden Speak at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2012 Business Law Institute on Contracting with the Federal Government
RALEIGH, N.C. – Smith Anderson lawyers Jackson Moore and David Hayden presented a seminar on Contracting with the Federal Government at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2012 Business Law Institute held in Pinehurst, NC, on February 16-17, 2012.
Mr. Moore and Mr. Hayden, members of the firm’s Government Contracting group, regularly speak to members of the business community on Government Contracting and other legal issues. At the North Carolina Bar Association’s annual Business Law Institute, Mr. Moore and Mr. Hayden discussed recent legal and regulatory developments in United States Government contracting and the impact of federal contracting upon North Carolina’s economy. They also addressed practical lessons learned and substantive legal developments including: recent changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulations and their supplements and recent decisions on bid protests from the United States Government Accountability Office and federal courts.
The Annual Business Law Institute averages approximately 150 participants and includes sessions presented by experts and legal professionals on a variety of business topics. Chris Capel, a partner in the firm, is a former Chair and current member of the North Carolina Bar Association Business Law Section, which develops content for the Annual Business Law Institute.
