Hubbard Elected Assistant Secretary for NCHICA

Mike Hubbard, a partner with Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P., was elected for a second term as Assistant Secretary of the North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance, Inc. (NCHICA).

Mr. Hubbard practices principally in the areas of health and insurance law, including HIPAA compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and health informatics.

The North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance, Inc. is a nonprofit consortium of over 250 organizations dedicated to improving healthcare by accelerating the adoption information technology. NCHICA members include: hospitals and clinics; medical and dental practices; professional societies and nonprofit associations; national, state and local health agencies; health plans; law firms; healthcare and IT consulting firms/vendors; health education and training providers; and pharmaceutical and research organizations.
