Henry Mitchell Reelected to the North Carolina Chamber (formerly NCCBI) Board of Directors
Smith Anderson, the Triangle-area's largest full-service business law firm is pleased to announce that partner Henry A. Mitchell, Jr. has been reelected to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Chamber (formerly the North Carolina Citizens for Business & Industry (NCCBI)).
Working to ensure a competitive business environment in North Carolina, The North Carolina Chamber focuses its efforts on programs and initiatives geared towards facilitating a strong economy, job growth and a favorable climate to attract business to the state. The Chamber's Board of Directors includes a cross-section of executives from diverse organizations and industries throughout North Carolina with a vested interest in state economic growth and a dynamic business culture.
Practicing in the areas of corporate, insurance and administrative law, Mr. Mitchell represents diverse clients on general corporate and business matters including advice on a broad range of issues from litigation strategy to governmental relations. He represents banking and insurance clients as well as domestic companies and foreign-owned companies principally located in Research Triangle Park. He serves on several civic and business boards including as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Lawyers Mutual Liability Insurance Company of North Carolina and on the Board and Executive Committee of Georgia Lawyers Insurance Company. He formerly served as Deputy General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. His recognition includes listing in Business North Carolina's Legal Elite and Best Lawyers in America.
