Henry Mitchell Reappointed to the North Carolina Symphony's Board of Trustees
At the North Carolina Symphony's annual meeting held on June 22, 2006, Smith Anderson partner Henry A. Mitchell, Jr. was reappointed to the Symphony's Board of Trustees. Mr. Mitchell will serve a 3-year term.
Mr. Mitchell practices in the areas of corporate, insurance and administrative law. He regularly represents diverse clients on general corporate and business matters including advice on a broad range of issues from litigation strategy to governmental relations. He represents banking and insurance clients as well as domestic companies and foreign-owned companies principally located in Research Triangle Park. Mr. Mitchell serves on several civic and business boards including serving as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Lawyers Mutual Liability Insurance Company of North Carolina and on the Board and Executive Committee of Georgia Lawyers Insurance Company. He formerly served as Deputy General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. His recognition includes listing in Business North Carolina's Legal Elite and Best Lawyers in America.
