Firm Partner and Paralegal Team Up to Facilitate Seminar at Meredith College
At the invitation of the Meredith College Paralegal Program, Merrill Mason and Jeff Kennedy gave a presentation last night on practicing corporate and securities law and working as a paralegal in the practice. The audience, mostly paralegals enrolled at the college, heard Merrill and Jeff give an overview of the recent trends in the practice and present a 'day in the life' of a corporate paralegal.
Mr. Mason, a partner, practices corporate and securities law. He represents emerging and entrepreneurial companies and focuses his practice on venture capital; securities; mergers and acquisitions; intellectual property; and general corporate matters.
Mr. Kennedy, a paralegal, has worked as a corporate paralegal for over four years. He works with lawyers that focus on all facets of corporate and securities practice, with an emphasis on emerging and entrepreneurial companies.
