David Hayden Speaks at North Carolina Military Business Center

RALEIGH, N.C. – David Hayden, a lawyer with Smith Anderson’s Government Contracting practice group, recently delivered a seminar on contracting with the federal government at the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) at the Spring Lake Campus of Fayetteville Technical Community College on August 9, 2012. The presentation, entitled “Teaming Arrangements: Joint Ventures, Subcontracts and Teaming Agreements,” is a seminar Mr. Hayden presented in conjunction with NCMBC’s Contracting Academy.

Mr. Hayden regularly speaks to members of the business community on government contracting and other legal issues. At the NCMBC, Mr. Hayden discussed recent legal and regulatory developments in United States Government contracting and the impact of federal contracting upon North Carolina’s economy. Mr. Hayden also addressed practical lessons he has learned related to forming teams with other companies, drafting agreements in support of those teams, and pursuing government contracting proposals as a team. Mr. Hayden also shared substantive legal developments, including recent changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulations and their supplements, as well as recent decisions on bid protests from the United States Government Accountability Office and federal courts.
