Christopher Smith Named President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys
RALEIGH, N.C. – Christopher Smith, a partner with Smith Anderson’s Commercial Litigation practice, has been elected as the 2012-2013 President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA).
Mr. Smith is a trial and appellate lawyer who has significant experience with business disputes, including those designated exceptional and complex that are assigned to the North Carolina Business Court. Additionally, he manages large multi-party and multi-jurisdiction litigation and mission critical projects for clients. Mr. Smith has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. His previous positions within the NCADA include: Executive Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and member of the Board of Directors.
The mission of the NCADA is to bring together civil trial attorneys to promote the administration of justice, the exchange of information, ideas, litigation techniques, and to strengthen the practice, improve the skills, and enhance the knowledge of lawyers defending individuals and businesses in North Carolina.
