Christopher Smith Named Chair of the Trade Secrets Group of the National Defense Research Institute
Raleigh, N.C. – Christopher Smith, a partner with Smith Anderson, has been named Chair of the National Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Trade Secrets Group.
Chris is a trial and appellate lawyer who counsels clients on business strategy matters. He manages large multi-party and multi-jurisdiction litigation projects and mission-critical projects for clients. He has significant experience in business disputes, trade secrets, environmental litigation and risk management, and with matters designated exceptional and complex.
Founded as the Defense Research Institute in 1960, DRI has supported the defense bar for over fifty years. Host to more than thirty substantive law committees, DRI provides resources essential to the enrichment of defense lawyers internationally.
The DRI’s Trade Secrets Group supports the Intellectual Property Litigation Committee. The committee focuses on professional and business development of its members, and addresses substantive law issues in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation.
