Christopher Smith Elected to the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys Board of Directors
Smith Anderson partner Christopher Smith was elected to a one-year term on the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys' (NCADA) Board of Directors. The election occurred at NCADA's annual meeting held on June 24, 2006, and Mr. Smith's term will take effect immediately. He also chairs NCADA's Commercial Litigation Section.
The NCADA brings together civil litigation lawyers to promote exchange of information; and to strengthen the practice, skills and knowledge of lawyers defending individuals and business in North Carolina.
An experienced commercial litigator, Mr. Smith has significant experience in business disputes; trade secrets; environmental and toxic tort litigation; pharmaceutical development litigation; products liability litigation; preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders; and with matters designated 'exceptional and complex' and assigned to the North Carolina Business Court. He both prosecutes and defends claims and advises clients on business risk management and strategy issues.
