Byron Kirkland Elected to the North Carolina Technology Association Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) has elected Smith Anderson partner Byron B. Kirkland to the Board. Mr. Kirkland joins a diverse group of technology leaders from North Carolina's for-profit and non-profit sectors united by an interest in building and growing a strong technology industry in the State.
A membership organization, NCTA helps to grow and strengthen the IT industry through increasing public awareness and influencing key public policy issues. It provides members the opportunity to network with other industry leaders, share information on critical technologies and promote their companies.
Mr. Kirkland practices in the areas of corporate, securities, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and technology law. He regularly represents venture funds and diverse companies including public and private entities and start-up, emerging, growth and mature companies. His extensive experience includes public offerings, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law matters.
