Alan Parry Participates in International Roundtable Discussion Regarding Director and Officer Liability

Smith Anderson partner Alan Parry was featured in a Roundtable Report in the August 2011 issue of Financier Worldwide Magazine. The report includes a broad discussion among industry experts regarding the risks facing directors and officers, including increased government investigation and enforcement activity, new legal and regulatory developments that may lead to an increase in suits against directors and officers, D&O liability issues that arise in the context of a corporate bankruptcy, and recent trends in the pricing and wording of D&O insurance policies.

Mr. Parry is a commercial litigator with substantial experience representing policyholders in disputes with insurance carriers arising under a variety of commercial policies, including commercial general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, and property and pollution liability policies. He also frequently provides counseling to corporate clients outside of litigation with regard to their rights and obligations under such policies. In addition to his broad commercial litigation practice, Mr. Parry is the leader of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Litigation and Counseling practice group.
