Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a global phenomenon in recent years with some authorities predicting transformational opportunities while others see existential threats. Smith Anderson hosted The Triangle North Carolina Chapter of the British-American Business Council for a panel discussion on the topic which explored the economic opportunities and challenges related to AI, in both North Carolina and the United Kingdom, with focus on its application in the biopharma and healthcare industries. The diverse panel discussed some of the benefits and risks associated with AI in this rapidly evolving landscape.
