We’re All in This Together: Staying Ahead of Employment Risks

This one-hour course explores the employment practice liability terrain, provides insight into unlawful harassment and workplace bullying and the law firm’s policies to prevent them, explores the role implicit bias can play in daily decision-making and interactions within the workplace and how to combat it, and discusses the complicating issue of lawyer well-being and how law firms can identify and address the issue in keeping with lawyers’ ethical and legal duties.  In addressing each topic, this course draws upon unique data regarding employment liability claims against law firms, case law, case studies, the rules of professional conduct, and attorney ethics opinions.
