"Masks Off" - Now What for Employers?
As a follow up to their recent Alert, Kim Korando, Employment, Labor and Human Resources lawyer, and Steve Parascandola, OSHA and Workplace Safety practice leader, hosted live webinar discussing the timely topic of returning to work.
Overview
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that individuals who have been fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks or to socially distance while together indoors. Both OSHA and the EEOC have since updated their websites to reference the new CDC policy.
In light of these updates, employers now face certain challenging decisions involving: return to work policies; managing vaccinated and unvaccinated employees in the same workplace; questions regarding mandatory vaccination polices; and asking employees about their individual vaccination status. This program explained the changes in guidance and offered employers solutions to these challenging decisions.
